fred perry wants bugger all to do with the proud boys

Well done Fred Perry for putting out such a statement. Mindless dickheads wearing their clothes who are violent racist bastards must really piss them off.

I might even wear one of my (many)  Fred Perry tops to work today as a (pointless) gesture of support

ready for the election run up with frank sinatra and high hopes

My new t-shirt arrived yesterday, so l'm ready for the election run up. Rather sadly, l may have to get as much wear as l can out of it before then, as it may be a bit redundant afterwards.
Still - like that little ant and the rubber tree, l've got high hopes!
More are available here.

mr freedom

Back in the 1960's, when London used to be the epicenter of coolness, it's kind of hard to believe that these two men (Tommy Roberts and John Paul) ran one of the coolest shops in town. Mr Freedom.
It's even harder to believe, looking at what they are wearing, that the shop sold trendy clothes to the rich and famous.
There is still a Mr Freedom outlet going today (look here), but the coolness has long gone, despite the expensive prices.

However, back in the day, as well as the clothes, they did have a (now really dated) advert that featured some great electronic music. Jean Jaques Perrey - 'Moog Indigo'.

And here's Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones wearing one of their t shirts (Which can now be purchased here).

If this isn't England's new strip soon, something has gone terribly wrong.
Like the team.

Another wacky saying that would look good on a t shirt.

lenny kravitz and his scarf

Lenny Kravitz usually knows how to rock a good look, and is generally a cool kind of guy, but this scarf that he is wearing / trying to escape from just looks ridiculous.  I know it is part of the rock stars duty in life to push boundaries and live on the edge (or it was back in the day), but bleeding hell, what was is thinking???
Anything for attention and to get noticed.

the columbian womens cycling new outfit

The new Columbian Womens Cycling outfit / kit.
Calm down at the back, it only looks see through, but the designer must be taking the piss, and l bet he (for it is bound to be a he) can't believe he has got away with it.
Tweeted here.

calexico at glastonbury festival

Watching some of the Glastonbury Festival highlights yesterday, l was disappointed to see how few people were there to see Calexico.  There may well have been something else on at the same time that took would be fans away, but it must still be frustrating for them playing to so few at such a large festival, after all the work they have put in over the years.
My own view is that they would be a bigger band if they stuck to more of their up tempo tunes, therefore creating a raucous live atmosphere.  On the other hand, part of the reason l like them because of the sometimes haunting mood that they put across.  They seem to be sticking to playing whatever takes their fancy, and if that leads to success or failure, so be it.
Doing things the right way.  I have a lot of admiration for that attitude, but sadly, l can't see them continuing for a lot longer.
As a side note, some of the  the artwork they use on their posters and t-shirts is brilliant, check it out below (although the middle one is an actual Calexico (the place) poster.  Would still look good on a t-shirt though.

american bomber pilots decorated jackets

There's a a great article in Collectors Weekly (I'm a sad old git) about the way American World War Two (and later) pilots and crew used to decorate their leather jackets, which have since become collectible items. As it states in the article, most of the men were still pretty young, did not expect to live long, and reverted back to the iconic images of their not so long distant youths for their designs.  The commanders tolerated this as it was a way for the men to cope with the huge amounts of stress that they must have been under.
The item at the bottom is known as a blood chit, and was sewn inside of the jackets, to be used as an extra pocket, but more importantly, it has the message in Chinese that there will be a reward if the person the jacket belongs to is assisted to safety.  Once again, people had it tough in the old days.

roy from the it crowd's t shirts

Roy (Chris ODowd) from The IT Crowd (a brilliant series) wears a different t shirt in every episode, which are geeky, stupid, or just plain nonsense (unless you are a geek).  What you need to decipher (or buy them) is a site dedicated to them,  but that would involve levels of geekdom l can only aspire to.
Luckily, there are plenty of people who have reached that level, and there are sites here and here devoted to the very thing.
Enjoy!

women wearing football shirts

This is what women wearing football shirts should look like

This is not what women wearing football shirts should look like, but more often than not, it is the reality.

Good to see she is a Liverpool fan though, and it could even be my old stamping ground of Bootle behind her.

realistic animal face t shirts

These hyper realistic dog, cat and pig t-shirts are amazingly life like and look kind of spooky.  There are plenty of them for sale on Amazon, such as this one, and l may have to invest in the pig one for Dazzer, my member of the filth in law (it's an ongoing joke).  I've got my eye on a possible rabbit one, which will freak out the FPO, and probably scare the shit out of Tubbs, our real idiot rabbit (not that he has any problem producing shit).

the new barcelona away kit

Who on earth designed and passed this monstrosity of a kit for Barcelona FC this year?  Where was the voice of reason when it was needed?  Don't people at the club have any eyes or taste?  Football - bloody hell  (not like when l was a kid etc......).

markus mueller sexy tshirts

What a fantastic couple of photographs by Markus Mueller to advertise a company called 'Das Handwerk'.
He took the original pictures of the girls, put them on the shirts, then took these pictures.
Genius!
I'll have to get my hands on some of them to make my brothers arse more appealing when he comes to stay in August.

getting ready to go out

The FPO went out to Richmond with her sisters on Friday night, and as am a good lad, l agreed to drive them in and pick them up afterwards. I'll admit they weren't too drunk when l picked them up at the end of the night, and at least l had the house to myself for the evening (apart from the stinking animals and ants) to potter about in.
This however, was the scene in the bedroom when the FPO was trying to decide what to wear. More clothes were tried on as well as these, but this was just a snapshot of the madness.

my new t shirts (nearly)

Once l manage to drag myself off my lonesome spotty behind, l am going to get these slogans transfered onto tee shirts for myself.  Obviously, knowing the speed l get things accomplished, this will be in about 2023, and if l can fit into them then, l shall wear them with gay abandon.
