time magazine's person of the year versus the new european

OK, l get that Donald Trump's return to win the USA election (narrowly) is obviously big news and it's unbelievable he will be president again, rather than being locked up, but this is just the kind of praise  and publicity Trump will love, and it kind of helps justify his actions and rhetoric. To me however, The New European naming Gisele Pelicot as their person of the year is a much better choice, and if you don't know who she is, you should really go and investigate. It's horrific, but the amount of bravery she has shown has been off the chart.
