jd vance, louis 16th and the french riots - trying to blame immigrants (as usual)

On 21 January 1793, Louis XVI, at age 38, was beheaded by a guillotine on the Place de la Révolution. As Louis XVI mounted the scaffold, he appeared dignified and resigned. He delivered a short speech in which he pardoned "...those who are the cause of my death.... ".[71] He then declared himself innocent of the crimes of which he was accused, praying that his blood would not fall back on France.[72] Many accounts suggest Louis XVI's desire to say more, but Antoine Joseph Santerre, a general in the National Guard, halted the speech by ordering a drum roll. The former king was then quickly beheaded

labour leftis versus the right - not all parties are the same

Remember this next time you vote.  Not all parties are the same.

the reform newspaper

As if they don't get enough coverage on Question Time, the BBC, most of the press and their own GB 'News' to spread there hate and blame, the twats at Reform have started their own paper. This is what happens when one party (actually a company) gets millions of pounds of backing by their rich friends who will get even richer if Reform achieve power. At the expense of the poor.

Saves buying toilet paper l guess, or return it to Reform's freepost address, as that costs them money.

me watching reform defending more evidence of racism in their party

More bullshit from Reform as they blame the press for exposing their own racism and misogyny. As you would expect. The press will brush it under the table and move on as usual. Now imagine how long this would be reported on by the press and BBC id it had been Labour exposed in this way.

Bolland & Bolland - You're In The Army Now (original of the status quo hit)

I wasn't bothered about Status Quo in 1986 so didn't realise their 'In the Army now' hit at the time was a cover version. Here it is, in all it's 'glory'.

l don't like the look of donald trump's new press secretary

The new press secretary looks somewhat familiar, but l just can't place her. She seems very reasonable though, and seems to know Donald Trump very well (although he appears to be somewhat scared of her).

mick jagger at the beatles shea stadium concert (plus the brian epstein 1967 book)

I was reading the rather excellent '1967 The World of Brian Epstien and The Beatles' book and  discovered in it's pages that Mick Jagger was at The Beatles concert at Shea stadium in 1966. My flabber was certainly gasted, but here's some photographic proof. There's always more to learn and discover if you have an interest in such things. Then again, l'm a very sad individual.

here's an ai image and message l can get behind - blame the less fortunate

There's always someone less fortunate to blame by the right, instead of the institutions and billionaires behind the poverty affecting many. It wasn't that long ago that Polish and Turkish people were being used as problems, but it's never the rich at fault. They just exploit the ill educated and badly informed who suffer the most to vote for them, alongside their already well off supporters.

donald trump's latest non empathetic idiocy with a tiger

You may kid yourself that he can't get any worse, but he always does. This is pretty tasteless, to say the least, but of course he and his supporters will no doubt find it 'funny'. What a time to be alive.

manchester united's progress this year

It's the hope that kills you. Manchester United have been unlucky in games, but it's also been pretty dire most of the time. Hopefully (as D:Ream would say) things can only get better. Time to behave (not for the first time) like a madman and put some money on them to win the European Cup (as l still call it).  You've got to have faith  (as George Michel used to say). No wonder l drink.

Saw this chap on the United tour earlier today. Sure l've seen him before.

shock news!!! - reform cleared of breaking donations laws

A little out of date but........Good news for the right wingers!!!  Reform have been cleared of breaking the law over donation funding by 'an internal inquiry'. Of course they were going to clear themselves FFS.  What else could anyone possibly expect? Truth?  I very much doubt it. Anyone who has taken even a cursory sideways glance at the Channel 4 footage knows Reform are greedy fuckers who are more than willing to break the law, and have already done so, even boasting about it. If this is justice, l'm a banana.
