rocker's aged and poker face seies
While l was happily minding my own business watching the pretty damn good 'Poker Face' series, l was rudely dragged back into the real world when l saw Rocker, one of my old mates make an appearance. Have to admit that unlike me, he's aged a bit.
Any resemblance to Nick Nolte is purely coincidental

a touching letter regarding sinead o'connor
A would bet a tidy sum that Sinead O'Connor performed many acts of altruism and kept them quiet.

the newspapers have an agenda
One of my most memorable school lessons was when an English teacher bought in various newspapers to explain the difference in their reporting, especially around political issues. Here's a fine recent example.
privatisation's going well
With British Gas announcing eye watering profits, a reminder of who sells of the family jewels to their rich mates whenever they get the chance. Keep an eye out and fight to retain the NHS as that's been on the Conservative agenda for a while, hence the present running down of it.
Never vote Tory.

tories being bastards part 6764468
Just a normal day at the office for the most corrupt and spiteful government l've ever known, and l remember the Margaret Thatcher years.
From The Guardian.
Never vote Tory.

looks like the car's buggered
I've got some time off work and thought l'd nip to Ikea by Newcastle today to buy some more record shelves and tidy the house up a bit. Rather sadly, engine lights came on just past the Angel of the North and the car conked out at traffic lights just by The Metro Centre. I called The AA who couldn't repair it so l ended up getting towed back to drop the car off at my local garage and to drop me off at the pub to drown my sorrows. Don't hold out a lot of hope regarding it being cost effective to be repaired, so it looks like l may have to crumble and buy another. The worst thing is l was only about a mile away from Ikea and if l'd made it there and put the shelves in the car and then broken down, l would now have them at home. What a bummer.
I blame God.

racist rishi sunak and charlotte owen in the house of lords
Tory corruption and racism part 365365
I think our great and glorious leader has forgotten he's meant to unite the country and make it better for all, not stirring up division and hatred. What a fucking rotter.
As for our great and glorious new lawmaker in The House of Lords, Charlotte Owen, if there wasn't a super injunction out, perhaps it would be common knowledge how she managed to snag the lucrative post from Boris Johnson that she now holds for life, after such a short time working for him. I've previously speculated on this before the super injunction here.
What a crap and corrupt country we currently live in.
Never vote Tory.

the slightly overcooked chicken
I fell asleep on the settee while l had the chicken in the oven, and it cooked for an extra hour. I think it's pretty safe to say it was ever so slightly overcooked, and the skin was like pork scratchings.
Nice though!

the mail on sunday does free publicity
This is great free publicity for the upcoming documentary on government lies. Can't wait to see it!
As an aside, Boris Johnson himself has admitted on record that he only had a mild case of Covid compared to the general population. Then again, when has The Mail on Sunday ever let the facts get in the way of their ridiculous headlines and stories?

the uxbridge result
The people who didn't vote Labour, and chose to vote for fringe parties with no chance, l hope you are all happy the Conservatives are retained. Vote tactically, get rid of the bastard Tories, and then start backing your own agendas, otherwise we'll be subjected to more years of the most corrupt government l have ever known (and l'm an old git).

there's no magic money tree - oh...hold on..
Despite the fact we are told by the government there's no money to pay decent wages, feed schoolchildren, process asylum applications etc, apparently it can always be found to help the already super rich.
Never vote Tory (and abolish the monarchy)
