Ah, the heady days of the early 1970's, when Status Quo were a great (and cool) rock band. Take me there now.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

These God fearing imbecilic dickheads can't even get this right. Do they not remember what happened to Goliath?

I've been dossing around at home expecting (yet another) album to arrive today, and of course the Amazon delivery person didn't bother knocking on my door. My instructions if l'm not in are to leave any parcels in my shed and when l checked the website to see where the hell the parcel had got to, it was classed as delivered, and left 'in or near a shed'. However, after searching, I saw it on the floor by my garden gate, as though it had just been thrown over, which would have been fantastic for it if l had actually been out, and it started pissing down. There's also a good chance l may have been stood on it in the dark if myself or anyone else came through the gate. Their delivery photo has it balanced on the top of my gate, so l guess they took the photo and then just shoved it over. Bastards!!!! Luckily it was still in good nick.
Toodle pipAs the USA slides further into a fascist dictatorship, you have to remember - this is not normal, and the courts and law enforcement agencies, as well as any members of the GOP who actually have some backbone, should be preventing this, but of course things are only going to get worse, but we'll all have to suffer. No wonder l drink.
It's very very rare that l ever have a good word to say about The Daily Mail, but come on - the headline writer knew what they were doing here.

I'm not holding my breath for the protests and outrage around 'protecting kids' from Nigel Farage and the far right in relation to this grooming gang. I imagine things would be a lot different if they were black or Islamic.

Led by Donkeys lead by example once again, projecting the Elon Musk Nazi salute onto the Tesla Factory in Berlin. Well played, and drinks all round.

A privately educated right wing financial immigrant (and partner of Reforms Richard Tice) not integrating into the host countries culture pontificating on other immigrants from her home in Dubai. These people shouldn't be given screen time.

For some strange reason there's not much reporting in the press about the massive settlement and apology to Prince Harry and his mother.
This made me laugh, and it's good to know United aren't the only team in Manchester playing crap.

A great response to Nigel Farage here, as he once again tries to weaponize the tragedy in Southport for his own political gain

Laika, the stray Russian dog that went on a one way mission to space on November 3rd 1957 - the first living creature from Earth to do so. What a sad couple of photos (and yes, Laika died shortly after take-off from Hyperthermia.
I guess this is what you have to do when you've got an old car. I knew it needed some work (including welding) and had expected anything up to £1,000 so in my tiny mind, I've saved £300 and am happy to be reunited with my car. Result!

Of course Elon Musk knows the difference between a Nazi salute and giving out love. The below two pictures are actually from videos playing at the same time, but you get the meaning from the photos in isolation. He openly supports right wing fascist parties and tries to overthrow democracy. A very dangerous man with lots of hang-ups and issues.
Rolling Stone magazine echo what l have said in the past and still believe. Donald Trump should currently be in jail, and the USA legal system, big money lawyers, sycophantic GOP members and tech CEO's are mostly responsible, although the Democratic party should have got their act together and defeated him.
Until l saw this picture the other day l hadn't given it a thought for years and had pretty much forgotten about it, but back in the distant past it used to be very, very popular. Stephen Pearson's 'Wings of Love'. A mixture of the erotic, romantic and religious, and no, l did not own a copy.
Very poor reporting here in this 1977 article by someone who does not understand music. It's not illegal to own unauthorised music, and they can't even spell Led Zeppelin correctly. This sort of stuff annoys me much more than it should.
Despite the fact that l love Marc Bolan and most things T. Rex related, Dandy in the Underworld was nowhere near the top album in 1977, and Bolan should not have achieved these results. Obviously his recent death triggered happy memories of him and his music, and reminded people (myself included) how pivotal he had been in their lives, thus explaining the sympathy votes.
I think l may be getting the start of a cold. Any excuse to break out the cough syrup from the good old days.
Toodle pipSo Jack Smith states that Donald Trump would have been found guilty regarding the insurrection charges around the storming of The White House to overturn his electoral defeat, but can't be prosecuted because he is the USA President (to be). This case should have been enacted years ago, and is a failure of the American legal system. As Trump will have his many mealy mouthed cowardly supporters in the senate and congress, in the judicial system, and is being backed by rich social media lickspittles so he will have most of the media and internet on his side, what is going to stop him staying in power, and ignoring future election results that don't go his way (if they take place at all). It's a bad time for democracy and the rise of the far right round the world. No wonder l drink.
toodle pipIf you ignore the rise of the far right AFD party in Germany, the Germans actually have a lot of common sense, and l love the place. Despite Klopp being an ex Liverpool manager, l respect him as well.
