Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

I've been saying this for ages. The new far right is on the rise and democracy is at real risk. They're very dangerous right wing people, who threaten world stability (what we have of it), and the far right of The Conservative party is also part of this agenda. Try going back 100 years to see how it all ended up panning out last time. Spoiler alert - It wasn't good. The thing is, most of the young poorly educated working class who are voting for these populist / would be fascists are like turkeys voting for Christmas, don't have fathers (or even grandfathers) that thought in The Second World War and have swallowed the right wing presses rhetoric about immigration. l think that is the main reason these people are being elected, so that countries can revert to some idea of 'themselves' and 'looking after our own', when the truth is, they look after themselves and their rich friends, and stir the hatred and division to stay in power.
Stay on guard, and never vote Tory.
Toodle pipIt's not all fun and games being a superstar footballer. Here's Harry Kane training with Bayern Munich. He looks a bit chilly.

As most of the media goes on about their respective hair styles and outlandish behaviour, it should not be forgotten that we live in dangerous times for democracy, and both Geert Wilders (Netherlands) and Javier Milei (Argentina) are very populist and right wing, and would happily take away most of the electorates freedoms and form dictatorships if they could get away with it. Rather like our current right wing Conservative party, who make a mockery of laws and regulations, and who have already disfranchised the right to vote for many. We're also looking at the possibility of Marine Le Pen being elected in France, and Donald Trump returning in America, and there is already Erdogan in Turkey. Luckily Bolsonaro was defeated in Brazil, but it's not looking good at all, and that's without thinking about Russia and China. What a time to be alive.
Never vote Tory.
I think it's fair to say this reviewer does not like or get Iggy and The Stooges, one of the greatest bands and frontmen ever. Knobhead.

Glen Hughes, (ex Deep Purple) here with his wife celebrating 23 years marriage. I strongly suspect only on of them has had their teeth done.

A mate called round earlier with a couple of beers and a KFC, and then l was left to my own devices, which involved a lot of this.
My attitude during the last few days. Actually, I'm like this most of the time, unless l'm watching 'Question Time' with Isabel Oakeshott. Then l become very annoyed.
Rummaging around while off work, l found this amongst some of my crap. This seems like a lifetime ago, with Sky TV promising an unbelievable 20 channels (in the UK). Obviously l signed up, and here's two of my early viewing cards. Times have certainly changed, and l haven't a clue how any channels l can currently access (as well as Netflix, Disney, Prime, Youtube etc).
Christ on a bike. I remember sitting on a bus going to Richmond reading this NME Neil Spencer review, and thinking the Sex Pistols sound right up my street. It's from 1976, when they were playing at The Marquee, supporting Eddie and The Hot Rods, who l was already a fan of. Music certainly changed for the better shortly afterwards, and you should see my 'Spunk*' collection (fnaaar).

Cliff Richard has been on the 'This Morning' TV Show earlier and said he had the chance to meet Elvis Presley, but passed up on it as he didn't want to because Elvis was fat at the time and didn't look good. Cliff has come in for a lot of criticism, but the main thing l took out of this is that he has a (bloody awful) painting of Elvis and himself in one of his rooms / houses. Obviously a thin Elvis though.
And here's Elvis earlier that very same evening, stuffing his face to put on weight, so he doesn't have to meet Cliff.

I've only recently got used to the fact that l have aphantasia, (which means l can't visualise things*), but it turns out it could be worse than thought, as l've only just discovered (this evening) most people can hear music or voices in their heads as well, which l can't. Obviously l can remember songs, but l remember them by singing the tune myself, rather like when Beavis and Butthead do their headbanging and sing along. Bugger! I'm even more messed up than l thought!
*Close your eyes and picture an apple. I'm number 5 on this chart.

After my recent pacemaker change (see here), the dressing has come off, and l currently have a raised scar and scar area like this. The picture does not do the raised area justice, and l'm still bruised, but everything seems fine and l am pottering around off work and recovering, so all well and good.
On the other hand, this is how l am currently spending all day, only with a parrot on my shoulder.

About time l won the lottery. Than l can have a room like Henry Rollins. I'm very envious.

What did all three of us have in common? Being indestructible - that's what. Myself and Keith Richards are taken for granted, but Tsutomu Yamaguchi, despite surviving both atomic bomb drops in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, had to let the side down by dying on us in 2010. Mind you, he was 93 at the time, and was the only verified person to have survived both bombs, so he didn't do badly at all. Now it's only me and Keef left - a literal battle to the death.
Also, here's an early picture of Keith Richards.

Some of these people should be in jail. Deliberately pushing through policies when they know they might cause extra deaths. All they care about is money and power. The thing is, none of this news is unexpected.
I've never seen someone so happy while being arrested. Methinks he might have been getting high on his own supply - a schoolboy error.
From back in the 1970's.
Toodle pipI've always banged on about Status Quo being a great rock band and a brilliant night out back in the day, and after the success of the 'Paper Plane' single and 'Piledriver' lp, they absolutely nailed it in 1973 (a mere 50 years ago) with the 'Hello!' lp and 'Caroline' single. What a time to be alive (About the only benefit of being old).
Here's some bits and pieces from that time.

The Christmas edition of Viz is out and they've named Chris Packham as the person probably responsible for cutting down the iconic Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall, with some really well argued reasons why he could be guilty. It's a brilliant spoof, and the best thing is, Chris Packham obviously thinks so as well. Well played everyone!

Don't watch it - he's a racist twat, and and the fact he's getting paid so much to be there and garner more publicity on prime time TV annoys me sooooooo much.
