It's Mick Jagger's 80th Birthday today, but l'm old enough to remember when he was 46 years old and considered ancient before The Rolling Stones 1989 tour. I made the foolish error of not seeing them on that tour as l too considered them too old.  Now, with the passing of many more years they look like sprightly youngsters on this Q Magazine cover.

I've got some time off work and thought l'd nip to Ikea by Newcastle today to buy some more record shelves and tidy the house up a bit. Rather sadly, engine lights came on just past the Angel of the North and the car conked out at traffic lights just by The Metro Centre. I called The AA who couldn't repair it so l ended up getting towed back to drop the car off at my local garage and to drop me off at the pub to drown my sorrows. Don't hold out a lot of hope regarding it being cost effective to be repaired, so it looks like l may have to crumble and buy another. The worst thing is l was only about a mile away from Ikea and if l'd made it there and put the shelves in the car and then broken down, l would now have them at home. What a bummer. 

I blame God.

Not for the first time, the people of this country should take a lead from Liverpool and stop buying The Sun. They're stirring the cap with the BBC allegation and it's always been in Rupert Murdoch's agenda to destroy the BBC.  Stop buying The Sun instead and stop falling for him dictating the news agenda.

Instead of the guessing game currently taking place (Huw knows who it will be), unless something illegal has been done, shut the fuck up.  How about Boris Johnson not handing his WhatsApp messages over, despite being ordered to?
