eventful walk home from the pub

Always handy to keep your eyes peeled for action on the walk home from the pub (last night)

As usual - not much traffic about

The joys of living by an Army Garrison

 Still no traffic

Beauty trying to escape it's shackles

 Really prominent directions

There's always one flower that gets too pissed and lets the side down

A bin getting spit roasted

a tasty new whisky, and summer's about here

This has made a change from the usual whisky l've been drinking round at Joe's. A cheeky Chivas Regal. Very smooth, moorish, and currently my favourite.
If l wasn't so strong willed. l'd be addicted.
Plus, the walks home are becoming more enjoyable, as the weather has started to improve.
About bleeding time as well, as l start wearing my shorts on April 1st each year. This is because l consider that (in my whisky sodden tiny brain) to be the start of summer.

out and about recently

Some random photographs from when l have been out and about recently, with, as usual, a walk home through deserted streets, one of the joys of living in the countryside (as long as it's not chucking it down!).

walking to joes

One of the joys of living next to lots of countryside!  I foolishly decided to get some fresh air and walk to Joes yesterday, forgetting how wet it would be.  The journey itself doesn't take long (through the woods to Colburn), but it's a pain in the arse trying to miss all of the puddles and horse crap.
Still, it was probably the most exercise l've had for a while, so l'm obviously full of piss and vinegar now, and with my 'new heart' l felt like l could have hopped all of the way (if it wasn't for that pesky mud).

walking round easby abbey

I knew it was too good to last. I was alternating between lying in my hammock and sitting in the sun reading, when I was dragged kicking and screaming out on a walk around Easby Abbey (next to Richmond, North Yorkshire) with the FPO, Louise and Lauren. Fortunately the sun continued to shine, and l got an ice cream at the end for being a good boy, so it wasn't that bad in the end. At least it's ticked off a 'date day' for the month!
