the chilean volcano photos

These may be old hat by now as l was sent them by my brother in law a while ago (Hello Dazzer!), but they are pretty spectacular and deserve a viewing. Mother nature at it's best, or maybe it's the old
Gaia hypothesis and the Earth is trying to destroy us to protect itself. Bring it on l say, it's about time l was put out of my misery, what with my aching knees, dodgy ticker, delicate back and dented skull. I guess l will never get to play for Manchester United now. Damn and damnation!!!!

the volcanoes in iceland

There was disruption to aeroplane flights last week with the eruption in Iceland of the Grímsvötn volcano, which l was cursing, as our buddies Robbo and Kerry were out in Spain with the I'Anson clan, and l thought they might get stuck out there. This affected me two ways. One, l wanted then back as l was going to their house to watch the Manchester United v Barcelona final. Two, l would have been sick with jealousy if they had a longer holiday and missed work. Anyway, it all worked out in the end (apart from the football result). Above is some pictures of the volcanoes in Iceland. Nice to look at, but l wouldn't want one at the end of my garden.

the volcano and the northern lights

Here's some great pictures (from The Times) of the volcano in Iceland with the Northern Lights. It must be fantastic be there and see it in real life. Talking of the volcano, I have been led to believe that it is not called Eyjafjallajokull, that is the name of the glacier it is on. The volcano's name is Gear, which is a lot easier for the likes of oiks such as myself to say. Could be wrong, though this is what was said on Have I Got A Bit More News For You last night. I certainly can't be bothered looking it up at the moment.
