glimmer twins graffiti at white shops

To people of a certain age that grew up around Catterick, this was a regular sight at the corner of White Shops (Where the kebab place is now). Every time the graffiti was painted over, another one was done, only slightly bigger, until the cartoons were nearly life size.
Obviously l have no idea who did it, but it was funny for a while (Though probably not for the shop owner)

upside down mural in lithuania

This is impressive - an upside down mural in lithuania which when reflected in the water, looks fantastic (and very weird).

things l hate graffiti

Of course l would never condone graffiti, especially around election time, but this is excellent (although longer lists are available).

the story on the wall and enlarged graffiti

I love this sort of stuff.  Someone did a line of graffiti on a wall in Jerome street, London, and then added another line of text to the story whenever it was painted over.
Genius, although l did a similar thing years ago with a small cartoon graffiti which then got painted over, so l proceeded to redo the cartoons, making them bigger with each reapplication, with a message saying that they would increase in size if they were painted over again. It developed into a battle of wits, which l won, until  l got bored of it. I also know that l would have derived a lot more enjoyment out of the battle, as  the shop owner must have been pulling his hair out in frustration, and the police never caught me doing it.
Of course the days of doing stupid stuff like that are long gone, as l am now respectable (sort of), but l was way ahead of my time.

andre muniz gonzagadalata's rock painting

Andre Muniz Gonzanga is a Brazilian artist who has been painting rocks, to amusing effect.  It's a great idea, and probably not original  (I can't be bothered looking for older examples), but they still look great, and pretty humorous (as well as somewhat disturbing).  His flickr stream is here, where there are lots more, including larger scale artworks on cars and houses, but l think the smaller scale stuff on rocks are more striking in their own way.
Now l'm off to dig out the old paints for a bit of landscape adjustment around our way (not for the first time).

chalk farm graffiti

This graffiti around Chalk Farm in London is by Blu (via artofthestate), but l am not sure what l feel about the work.  In a way, it looks too amateurish for my liking (not that l can do any better) but there is also something surreal about it that appeals to me.  It doesn't take a lot to confuse me, and this graffiti certainly does that.  Time for another lie down - my head hurts.

otto shade artwork

I'm all for a bit of Surrealist and Abstract artwork (Salvador Dali used to be a big favourite), and Otto Shade, a Chilean artist now living and working in London, hits the right buttons for me. More of his work is here.
Damn! I wish l could paint.

more 3d sidewalk art

I can't remember where this picture is from, who did the artwork, or where it is, but l haven't put up any 3d artwork for a while, so l thought l would stick it up anyway (and forget about everything else).

pavel 183 artwork

Very similar in style to the Banksy artworks (some would say a rip off), Pavel 183 is based in Moscow, but has also produced some great stuff. His website is here, and there's a BBC report (with video) on him here. The top one (when it is lit up) is my favourite.
Banksy's website is here.
Now where's my bleeding spray can........

clever and funny street art

I've got to get my spray can out soon, maybe once my car is legal again (it just cost over £500 for it's MOT!). I love this sort of artwork, clever and funny. Lots more can be found here.
