I started watching The Social Network this evening after putting it off for quite a while, and nearly switched it off early on as l was not particularly enjoying it. I am glad that l stuck with it though, as it was well worth the perseverance, because it just got better the longer it went on. You would think it would be pretty boring, as it mainly concerns geeks (and Harvard geeks at that) plus a court case, but they managed to keep the film moving at a decent pace, so it was fine in the end. I don't think Mark Zuckerberg should have had to pay out 65 million dollars for (supposedly) running off with the idea, but at least he is not skint now. Wish he would send me some of the money he has left (the selfish bastard).

spiral series 3

This has been great. I haven't watched any of the other series (yet) but after being on so many sites where people were raving about this, l thought l would give it a go on the good old BBC iPlayer (Hurrah for the fact we are living in the space age). I have just finished watching 6 episodes (one straight after the other), as that is the kind of guy l am, plus l have no work again until Friday. It is very similar to 'The Killing'' in that there is a murder at the start, there is a strong willed (but slightly unhinged) female police woman leading the investigation, and there are corrupt government officials. I am off to bed now, but shall continue my viewing tomorrow afternoon, unless it is really nice weather, in which case l will be off to Richmond /shops/pub (in that order) and watch the rest in the evening.

This was on a blog l was visiting the other night. What a cool place to work in. I l think l will have to get the old decorating skills re-activated and revamp the crappy old place l am currently sitting in (at silly o'clock because l went to bed early and now l can't sleep). Bring on the black paint (although l don't see the need for two computer monitors/screens)

computer update

Still have not got the main computer fixed, although it is now out of the house being repaired and may even be ready today, l have to phone about it later. Still cursing having to use the laptop, prefer to fiddle with my little mouse (ooeerr).

Nozzer the rabbit still has a scab on his head from his pussy removal (ooeerr again), but is pretty perky. Have to keep giving him antibiotics and bathing his head, so we'll see how he goes. Apparently if it happens every 6 weeks or so it is pretty bad and he won't live long. lf it is every 6 months or so, we can carry on treating him.

Been down to Walsall for Mandy's nans funeral (Edna), also a memorial service at Stockton. Also Rab's missus Dots funeral in Catterick and Tommy Pikes, also in Catterick. They are going down like flies (ooeerr again - think l need a lie down).
