If there was a competition for the venue that was bound to be full of long haired hippies in greatcoats reeking of patchouli oil, sitting on the floor with their 'chicks' and 'old ladies', Gollum's Cave in Stoke-on-Trent would win hands down. Mind you, l'd loved to have seen some of these acts at the time, especially Tyrannosaurus Rex. I think l need a time machine (amongst many other things).
