I mean - it shouldn't have to be said, but in Trump's America....

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
I live on the outskirts of Richmond and still go there on a regular basis but like most of the locals, l am pretty blase about it, as you soon get used to the old buildings, cobbled marketplace, Georgian theatre, castle, river, waterfall, folly and nearby Abbey (amongst other things). However, viewing it through others eyes when you introduce them to it for the first time reminds you how special it is. Let's hope it wins.

Fair USA elections are certainly at risk, but from Trump, not The Democrats. If the elections do go ahead, and that is not a given, l fully expect to see ICE enforcement outside voting areas (where Democrats may win). This kiddie shagging felon will stop at nothing to maintain power and enrich himself, and if Kamala Harris had won the last election, he'd have called for an another insurrection as he would have said the votes were rigged (again).
The grift that keeps on giving (but not voting correctly). Mind you, what do you expect when recruiting the most self serving runts of the failed Tory party, who will do anything for power, except for doing their one simple task correctly.
After ploughing through some of The Epstein Files that were recently released, l've come to a couple of (not so unexpected) conclusions. A lot of rich men were raping and abusing children, and Donald Trump is one of the most implicated. Epstein was probably working for Russia (amongst others such as Israel), who (along with Steve Bannon and Peter Thiel) were certainly paying for the break up of western democracy, eroding trust in the political systems and mainstream news, sowing mistruths and division, and breaking up NATO, while supporting the far right knobheads across Europe and elsewhere, including Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson over here. Trump is also doing Putin's bidding (absolutely no surprise there), and is still a rapist, only more so, and with children. The sad thing is that the rich and powerful in America such as Trump will probably get away with it, although there's bound to be some political fallout. Remember the victims, many of whom are still out there seeking justice, and don't expect America to be a friend of Europe's while Trump and his lickspittles are in power.
This made me laugh as l can relate to the record clubs from many years ago (and l've got a copy of this CD).
Another glorious evening of frolics and banter in one of the local pubs. However, as usual, what l was hoping for and what materialised were two completely different things. Still had a good time though.
The hope....
The reality...
A few days ago I saw this photograph of some shops in Singapore (from many years ago), and although they are probably not the same ones, they are exactly how l remember them to be when l used to wander round at a (very) young age. I had no money, but myself and friends would collect different bottle tops and play games with them. Which games? I have no recollection. Loved the place, and luckily for me, l didn't give spiders a second thought in those days. I certainly would now.
There's a heading you weren't expecting! However, if you look closely at the table in front of Peter Mandelson's underpants, you can see a copy of The Beatles 'Anthology' book underneath the red art one, so amongst all of the horror, someone was a fan.
Am l a Dylan fan? Oh yes indeed. Was l there? Affirmative once again. Hitch-hiked there and back, and it was well worth the effort. Still have the programme and badge, plus a Melody Maker cloth sticker advertising the event, and a bootleg recording of it. Plus of course, this issue of Melody Maker. What a time to be alive.
As the recent shooting in America showed, the Trump administration just lie openly, despite the evidence being there for all to see. I understand journalists want to be in the inner circle for access and are probably also scared of retributions, but that is their job. Ask difficult questions, dispute and challenge obvious lies, and do what you are paid to do, serving the public the truth. If you're too scared to do so, fine. Leave the job. If you carry on sucking up to the orange kiddie shagger and his acolytes, you're enabling a fascist authoritarian state. I wouldn't have thought that is such a hard choice to make (if you had any morals).

Elon Musk - Despite the statements he wasn't involved, there's emails stating he wants to go when it's party time and Epstein agrees to send a helicopter for him. Don't forget he also posted about Donald Trump not wanting the files released because he (Trump) was in them, yet he also helped bankroll him into power, knowing beforehand he was a sad orange kiddie fiddler. Also, an old post from his daughter.
I'm saying nothing about these, apart from l like them. Well played.
A funny thing about these. When you see photographs of the actors as The Beatles, it' looks a bit rubbish, but when you see the pictures next to The Beatles themselves, they look pretty good. Then again, maybe l'm just having an acid flashback and need a lie down.
I imagine if the bomber had been dark skinned and Muslim, the backstory and write up would be completely different, and publicised a lot more.
From The Guardian - here.

So the small handed orange kiddie shagger has already reached the 'arrest the journalists' stage, after recently stating that people filming raids on camera should be classed as 'Domestic Terrorists'. He's now also saying Barrack Obama should be arrested as he follows the fascist authoritarianism playbook. I don't suppose this could be a distraction from the just released segments of The Epstein files by any chance (and if l was Iran l'd expect an imminent attack). Make your own mind up by reading some Epstein snippets below. WARNING - It's harrowing and horrific.
