 I'm loving Mayor Mamdani's positivity, inclusivity and empathy, rooted in socialist principles, but looking at this picture, and without actually seeing him kick the football, you can tell by his approach that he knows how to play football and kick a ball correctly, so he's gone up even higher in my estimation. A man for all people (unless you're rich, corrupt and avoiding taxes).

 I agree with Angels Raynor 100% on this.  The care workers l know and work with are excellent, but say they will return to Nigeria or wherever they are from if the requirement for status is increased to 10 or 15 years, and l don't blame them. Then the social care sector will be even more fucked, as no one else wants to do the jobs due to the crap pay.

Looking through some Life magazines from 1951 that l received yesterday (as you do), l saw these adverts for the musical 'Top Banana' starring Phil Silvers. A quick research revealed it was made into a film, and a couple of clicks later, I am now watching it on my TV. What a time to be alive! (although it is pretty crap apart from Phil Silvers, who is always funny).

I then nearly bought a 'Top Banana' t-shirt but managed to resist the call of the madness.

the rolling stones 1982 baseball shirt

I tried to buy one of these Rolling Stones baseball shirts after their Leeds Roundhay Park show in 1982, but they were sold out where l enquired, although a mate nabbed one earlier and made me extremely jealous, as l had to settle for a short sleeved version (with tour dates on the back). What a twat, as l'd have looked a lot cooler wearing one back in the day than he did, so l've never forgiven him.  Now they are going for silly prices, and l'm an old git. I blame God.
