At last! Now l have an idea of what to buy my mates son this Christmas!

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
It's a shame the Concordes ceased to be, as they were supersonically fast and very cheap to maintain, as they would get together each August (Mating season) and produce offspring for the following years travel needs.

I've been a fan of Dexy's Midnight Runners and all the variations of them, plus Kevin Rowland's solo releases for many years, and l can tell you now, all the praise for this autobiography is more than justified. It's unflinchingly honest and superb. Much better than l could have hoped for. I also agree with his statement about The Labour Party. Get your copy now.
Another day, another atrocity. 'One of them works for Hamas' my arse. As Henry Mance states, proportionality has gone out of the window, but it's the only way Israel can continue to justify the bombing of what is left in Gaza. The reasoning l use when describing these actions when arguing my case for the majority of Palestinians, is Britain didn't relentlessly bomb and try to ethnically clean Ireland when the IRA were detonating explosives on our mainland on a regular basis, as that too would not have been a proportional response. Stop arming them for a start!

So the Palestine Action Support situation is going to get a lot worse and more troublesome for Labour, who at some stage are going to have to backtrack. I'd suggest going down the route that the law have deemed the protesters not to be terrorists, and although we (ie Labour) want to clamp down, we can't. Some losing face to the courts, but better than what is currently happening, which is inexplicable in it's misguidedness (see also my earlier post on the matter).

A really good article by Liam Thorpe in today's Liverpool Echo regarding the booing of the national anthem and the shouting by Crystal Palace fans during a minutes silence at yesterday's Charity Shield game. I (as any sensible person should) agree that they are completely different. One is expressing an ongoing dislike and distrust that Liverpool hold for the rest of the country, especially when run by the Tories (with good reason), and the other is ruining a show of respect for two people who sadly lost their lives and where football rivalries should be put aside to honour the dead. The article is here.

If these people are terrorists, l'm a banana (as Ian Hislop would probably say). What a waste of time, money and resources arresting previously well behaved and mostly old members of society having a peaceful protest, sitting down holding signs, compared to the reaction when right wing violent racists target asylum hotels with their 'legitimate concerns' and 'protecting women and children' shtick. The injustices heaped upon the ordinary Palestinians and the deliberate ethnic cleansing and starvation of it's people by the IDF and Netanyahu will one day be judged as the war crimes they are and future historians will look back and wonder how it was allowed to happen in plain sight of the world. The more the government clamp down on these peaceful protesters the more ridiculous it looks, and the numbers who support such actions will only increase as the arresting figures grow more absurd. The idiocy of the situation is highlighted by this letter in The Times today by the former UK commander of RAF Geenham Common cruise missile base (below).
I like this a lot, as it's a striking way to highlight the desperation and inadequate supplies. More please. And let's stop arming the bastards!
Toodle pipIt's not often l will praise a Liverpool player, but well played to Mohamed Salah for calling out UEFA for the spineless lickspittles they are.

Fraser Nelson has got a fucking cheek backtracking like this, as he was responsible for a lot of the hate and disinformation that spewed from the pages of The Spectator when he was editor. the right wing press and it's acolytes will tell you anything just to get a story, make money, and make themselves relevant or famous. Think Johnson and Littlejohn.
So - Measles are pretty much eliminated in the good old US of A thanks to vaccines. Great news for everyone concerned, unless you are a vaccine denier like JFK Jr who has of course has been put in charge of America's health by the orange buffoon that is Donald Trump. Sure as night follows day, vaccinations stop, cases increase, and now they are searching for cures (which will make some companies rich) while, 'Dr' Ben Edwards gives vitamin A shots (further down). It would be funny if it wasn't so sad, predictable and depressing, as in the meantime, some people (mainly children) will die. Of measles FFS. From The Wall Street Journal here.
And here's Dr Ben's idiotic view and treatment.Toodle pip
This was sent to me (ta Michael) but l like it. I now look like a mixture of the first three 'after' photos, despite eating many a chippie tea.
Toodle pipThis. All day long. We could have been ruled by a kiddie shagger. As it is, he's still on the payroll and living in luxury without working.

It may surprise you to learn that I'm not a peacekeeping ambassador or expert, but once again, Trump is lying, as Ukraine won't go for handing over occupied territories. Release the Epstein Files!

Just finished work until next Wednesday so went to the local for a few drinks to celebrate. Obviously l had a good time, after all - l was in a pub, but there were certainly some dodgy lads in there l didn't know.

Despite the fact that Charlie George played for Arsenal, he was one hell of a player and respected by most fans of other clubs as a wayward maverick footballing genius. He did however, have very questionable choices regarding hair styles. I know it was the 1970's but even so...
Private Eye magazine once again highlight the hypocrisy of immigrants blaming other immigrants for Britain's problems.
