Couldn't describe a trip any better.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

Fraser Nelson has got a fucking cheek backtracking like this, as he was responsible for a lot of the hate and disinformation that spewed from the pages of The Spectator when he was editor. the right wing press and it's acolytes will tell you anything just to get a story, make money, and make themselves relevant or famous. Think Johnson and Littlejohn.
So - Measles are pretty much eliminated in the good old US of A thanks to vaccines. Great news for everyone concerned, unless you are a vaccine denier like JFK Jr who has of course has been put in charge of America's health by the orange buffoon that is Donald Trump. Sure as night follows day, vaccinations stop, cases increase, and now they are searching for cures (which will make some companies rich) while, 'Dr' Ben Edwards gives vitamin A shots (further down). It would be funny if it wasn't so sad, predictable and depressing, as in the meantime, some people (mainly children) will die. Of measles FFS. From The Wall Street Journal here.
And here's Dr Ben's idiotic view and treatment.Toodle pip
This was sent to me (ta Michael) but l like it. I now look like a mixture of the first three 'after' photos, despite eating many a chippie tea.
Toodle pipThis. All day long. We could have been ruled by a kiddie shagger. As it is, he's still on the payroll and living in luxury without working.

It may surprise you to learn that I'm not a peacekeeping ambassador or expert, but once again, Trump is lying, as Ukraine won't go for handing over occupied territories. Release the Epstein Files!

Just finished work until next Wednesday so went to the local for a few drinks to celebrate. Obviously l had a good time, after all - l was in a pub, but there were certainly some dodgy lads in there l didn't know.

Despite the fact that Charlie George played for Arsenal, he was one hell of a player and respected by most fans of other clubs as a wayward maverick footballing genius. He did however, have very questionable choices regarding hair styles. I know it was the 1970's but even so...
Private Eye magazine once again highlight the hypocrisy of immigrants blaming other immigrants for Britain's problems.
Mr Parrot has been unwell the last few day although he is a lot better than he was on Friday, when l thought he was going to die. He's currently on loads of vitamins and should hopefully be in better condition than me soon, but he is 45 years old and l suppose life may finally be catching up with him, as the average African Grey lifespan is between 40 and 60. Even my breakfast is upset about the situation.
Toodle pipI do if l'm transported back to 1972, although l'd have a night off when Uriah Heep were in town.

Trump on The White House. In the immortal words of Derek and Clive - 'Jump you fucker, jump'.
And it hasn't taken long for people to adjust the pictures to how they should look.

Now this is why l need to win the lottery, as l haven't got a spare 1.45 million Euros lying around. A space age house outside Paris with plenty of space and no neighbours. Bit concerned there may be lots of spiders, but l'd take the risk. Info is here.
Phew! The day is nearly over and we've survived the Grok predicted start of the Civil War. I can rest easy in my bed tonight.
Also - it's not authorities that need to de-escalate, it's the right wing press and Reform / Tommy Robinson type knobheads.

Some excellent news as l've just discovered Whitney K is touring again and has an upcoming new album. Snagged 4 tickets for the Leeds gig and to put the icing on the cake a mate is going to do the driving. Highly recommended if you're into Lou Redd and The Velvet Underground (like any sane person should be), and the venue is tiny, which makes for a much better experience.
Toodle pipHow l feel watching the news and the rise of the far right, Reform and the daily dose of Trump's madness. I'm looking forward to what AI can achieve in the very near future, but it will also create a lot of unemployment, which will need to be addressed in some way. Still, l can always just lock myself away from the upcoming madness and listen to records and read.
Living out next to the countryside has got it's advantages. Last night's view from the back garden, while waiting for the storm to hit.

That's funny (but not unexpected). I don't see Tommy Robinson / Reform / Nigel Farage and the rest of the baying mob kicking off and starting riots to 'protect the kids' when this story broke. Now imagine if he had been foreign or black. Two Tier priorities.

Call me a cynical old fool, but l would imagine the worlds richest man could end world hunger tomorrow if he actually was bothered about doing so and not even notice the drop in his finances, rather than relying on AI and robotics at some time in the future. Performative nonsense.

So the youngsters want to look like me do they. That's fine and dandy - l can live with that, after all, l'm a man of style and taste.
I've already got this Rolling Stones bootleg album on vinyl with a pink slip cover, and on CD with this William Stout cover, but as l'm also a sad git, l've been looking for a decent white William Stout cover copy on vinyl on and off for years. And it arrived a couple of days ago. Over the moon la.
Also, when messaging the seller (Michael) he made me extremely jealous with tales his first two gigs. The Rolling Stones and then T. Rex, both Liverpool 1971 when he was 12. I'm greener than The Hulk with envy. His T. Rex ticket (only 60p!) is below.
