First of all there's hope in the Junior Doctors pay dispute - who would have guessed that actually meeting with them would help with bringing the dispute to an end? It's so good to finally have a grown up sensible government.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

Me in the pub arguing it was never a penalty#. The Netherlands have a good reason to be fuming about it, but it's about time England got a lucky break decision wise.
# Also me in the pub trying to persuade people to vote Labour.
Toodle pipAnother tight game and another last minute goal, but at least England played better, especially in the first half. Then again, l don't think we should have had the penalty, and listening to the commentary none of them expected it either - very soft. We're relying on last minute goals and penalties so far, and really riding our luck, and l certainly don't think Gareth Southgate deserves loads of praise for the performances so far, as it could easily have gone pear shaped. Let's see what the final on Sunday delivers, but l don't hold out much hope. Mind you, l have occasionally been proved wrong in the past, so fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, here's England's top boys looking for trouble before the game. What a tasty looking firm.
I realise l am a madman who does not need this boxset, but of course l have already ordered it and can't wait for it to be released so l can dive into it's contents. I love these reasonably priced boxsets Bob Dylan has been releasing, and will be happy to buy more in the future. Mind you, I think l need professional help.
I'm against big game hunting, (or any hunting actually), but l would happily take it up to hunt down the two blokes behind the dead elephant. Twats.
Another excellent (unexpected) result to defeat the fascists (for the time being). France - you done good, although there will be many disagreements ahead.
America - your turn next.
Some excellent photographs of a squirrel smelling a flower by Dick Van Dujin to help brighten up your day. Try to enjoy your life - you only get one chance.
So all of a sudden The Daily Mail are in favour of economic migration? I guess they still won't be regarding people who want to come here. A hateful right winged rag. Don't buy it.
Toodle pipMoved here when he was 14, a privately educated millionaire banker, who fails to realise a lot of people will vote Reform to stop people like him emigrating here, and would certainly refer to him in racist terms. Willing to sell out his relatives, countrymen and friends for more money and power. Knobhead.
When everything was rosy with the world. Manchester United - Better under Labour. Fingers crossed for next season!

The first day of Labour being in charge, and already they've made some grown up appointments, especially James Timpson, as he's one of the countries good guys. What a pleasant change, however l do hope the Angela Raynor Housing one was also a sly dig for all the hassle she received from the Tories about selling her house, and l hope it winds them up even more. Even the weather is improving!
Despite being at work, l stayed up all night to enjoy and revel in the carnage for the Tory party, and it was well worth it. It's about time these money grabbing, immoral , lying and grifting bunch of chancers fucked off, and l won't be sad to see the back of any of them. It's going to be hard for Labour, but at long last we have some sensible people in charge, who actually do want to help those less fortunate than themselves, instead of just constantly being on the lookout for ways to make a fast buck, and if they're labelled as boring, l don't care. I'd rather have boring than a clown like Johnson, a fuckwit like Truss, or any of the right wing knobheads that will now insist moving further to the right is the way to go. Fuck them all (and Farage).

This is how l'm hoping to be later this evening watching the election results come in. All fingers currently crossed.
The often asked question of why is Bungle naked all the time, but wears a bath robe to cover his modesty when bathing?

I've already been and done my bit, now it's everyone else's turn. Get out there and make your voice heard. Just don't vote Tory or Reform.

Bloody hell - Despite my brother living close to Leeds United's ground in Beeston, l didn't know he was into football. Still got great dress sense though.
Toodle pipIt's been said many times, but every time l see a picture of the cast of 'Please Sir' with the supposed 'kids', it never fails to amaze. These people were meant to be school children.
It truly was a different time.

People aged a lot quicker back in the day. These people would probably still be out raving these days (OK - maybe not), but back then they had probably been dressing like this since they hit 40.
Toodle pipI've just purchased a Rolling Stones bootleg album (The Olympic Years 66-68 if you must know) but upon opening it l discovered the record on the outside, Sellotaped directly onto the surface, and obviously scratched, when it was meant to be excellent condition. I took photos of it and complained, but was then informed l should look closer, which l did. I then noticed the outside record was by Nana Mouskouri, was just attached for extra protection, and sure enough, the inner Rolling Stones album was fine. Dooh!!!!!!! I hate making mistakes, so this really bugged me.
I blame the Tories.

Count Binface is canvassing in my area of Richmond, and although it is a joke, what he states about the Tories is true. If you're not planning on voting Labour around these parts, vote for him (or The Green Party). Anyone but The Tories or Reform FFS.
Toodle pip
I'm all for this front page in today's Sunday Mirror. Obviously they are a Labour supporting paper (unlike all the other main ones), but l like the cut of their jib.
Never vote Tory.
Toodle pip
These have just arrived through my letter box for Thursday's election. However, l think their leafleting in this case is highly optimistic, as l will 100% be voting for Labour.
Other options are available, but never vote Tory (or Reform).
This was my view last Tuesday while lying in my garden, reading and absorbing some rays. It already seems like a lifetime ago as the sun appears to have legged it for the foreseeable future.
I blame God (and The Tories).
