John Prescott had a many faults (don't we all) but was 100% a working class Labour man who loved the party, was a huge part of the 'New Labour' victories, but was unfairly maligned with the 'two jags' moniker, as though you're not allowed to treat yourself to a bit of luxury if you are working class but earning decent money. Sod that - if you earn the money, do what you want with it. He was also infamous for smacking a protester who threw an egg at him, but l have no issue with that, and would probably have done the same. We could do with more of his kind in politics and parliament now.
