Private firms being money grabbing bastards as usual.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
As part of my work, l assist new starters with their inductions and training. Looking at one of our new workers training last week, the answer given to this made me laugh out loud, and l was alone at the time (and no, it is not made up for humorous purposes here).
It's logical I suppose, and excuse the bad photo.
I understand the cricket reference Piers Morgan was using here, and have used it myself, but he was caught out beautifully. Well played, very well played.
I'm very interested in AI and how the future is going to dramatically change, and have pre-ordered the upcoming Mustafa Suleyman book above, and looking forward to reading (and trying to understand) it. In the meantime, l've tried out the AI Pi bot, and it's impressive. Here's part of my first conversation with it.
Impressive stuff isn't it, and that's said without any connection to the programme or sponsorship deals. Society is going to be changing pretty damn quickly, and you can't prevent this kind of progress, but unfortunately, this can also be fraught with danger, especially in the job market.

This is very stupid and childish, but made me laugh out loud, so obviously appeals to my idiotic sense of humour.

I've been busy and also got bleeding Covid again (I think it's the fifth time), so not been up to date recently, but have loads of recent posts which l never got round to uploading, so look out for the upcoming deluge.
In the meantime, l was meant to meet my old mat Yevgeny Prigozhin in the pub yesterday, but he never showed up. I'm baffled, he's normally so trustworthy, so l don't understand what's happened.

On todays new they said summer should return to the UK next Thursday. On checking the BBC Weather forecast online, l'd better not build my hopes up, as it looks like it's only for one day!
What a bummer.

Grant Shapps showing himself up to be the corrupt chancer he has always been
And as for Rishi Sunak being a corrupt bastrd.....in completely unrelated news...

While l was happily minding my own business watching the pretty damn good 'Poker Face' series, l was rudely dragged back into the real world when l saw Rocker, one of my old mates make an appearance. Have to admit that unlike me, he's aged a bit.
Any resemblance to Nick Nolte is purely coincidental

A would bet a tidy sum that Sinead O'Connor performed many acts of altruism and kept them quiet.
Toodle pipOne of my most memorable school lessons was when an English teacher bought in various newspapers to explain the difference in their reporting, especially around political issues. Here's a fine recent example.
With British Gas announcing eye watering profits, a reminder of who sells of the family jewels to their rich mates whenever they get the chance. Keep an eye out and fight to retain the NHS as that's been on the Conservative agenda for a while, hence the present running down of it.

These two blocks are the same colour, and it's doing my head in. Place your finger along the middle to see for yourself.
Looks like Mr Parrot is looking for some entertainment and attention. Sadly for him l'll soon be going out to join the Wednesday afternoon drunkards.

Just a normal day at the office for the most corrupt and spiteful government l've ever known, and l remember the Margaret Thatcher years.

I've got some time off work and thought l'd nip to Ikea by Newcastle today to buy some more record shelves and tidy the house up a bit. Rather sadly, engine lights came on just past the Angel of the North and the car conked out at traffic lights just by The Metro Centre. I called The AA who couldn't repair it so l ended up getting towed back to drop the car off at my local garage and to drop me off at the pub to drown my sorrows. Don't hold out a lot of hope regarding it being cost effective to be repaired, so it looks like l may have to crumble and buy another. The worst thing is l was only about a mile away from Ikea and if l'd made it there and put the shelves in the car and then broken down, l would now have them at home. What a bummer.
I blame God.
