boris at the job centre

A round of applause for Madame Tussauds in Blackpool who put their waxwork Boris Johnson outside the job centre. However, l'd prefer him in jail.

paul dacre still wants to be a lord

The Daily Mail have got a lot to be responsible for, but this is cringeworthy, and makes it so obvious that Paul Dacre is desperate for his corrupt entry into the House of Lords, which no doubt he'll get before Boris buggers off.  Meanwhile in the news, lets have an unbiased column by Boris Johnson's sister and father. Carrie's ex, Michael Gove's ex, and the papers Boris worked for.

Also, l don't recall Boris saying sorry, resigning, or taking any responsibility.  He needs to be removed now before he wrecks more havoc and feathers his and his cronies nests.

The Australian press nail it better.

This is what happens when you leave boxes around an unleashed parrot.

He's a little bastard, but l love him.

the rolling stones banner

It's a really old and rubbish picture but this is a banner l nicked from a Rolling Stones concert at St James' Park Newcastle  in 1982. I had to borrow a knife off some Hells Angles, climb up scaffolding, cut it down, roll it up, and walk out with it under my arm. Sold later on at Christies for a lot of money.

He's fucked

At long last, it looks like Boris is fucked, although he will obviously try to hang on as long as possible, blame everyone else, and then swan off into a well paid after dinner speaker role and make a fortune by publishing  his diaries.

 Twat.

Whitney K Maryland

Going to see Whitney K in Leeds and Newcastle  in November. Can't wait. I've got a load of his stuff and awaiting delivery of the new album, plus anything that sounds like Lou Reed or The Velvet Underground is just fine by me.

brian jones' last photograph with the rolling stones

As today is the anniversary of Brian Jones' death, and l've just finished watching the new BBC documentary's on The Rolling Stones, here's the last photograph of them all together.

The LOVE band featuring Johnny Echols UK tour June/July 2022

Managed to catch the soundcheck in Leeds last week (Double booked as we had tickets for a re-arranged Dandy Warhols show the same night), and saw them last night in Gosforth. An excellent night out had by all, although l've now got to try and find some space for my signed Johnny Echol's poster!!

Oh - The Dandy Warhol's were also excellent.

paddington gets deported

when footballers looked older

Footballers used to look a lot older back in the day. Take this example - Jimmy Leadbetter from Ipswich Town.

Age? A mere whippersnapper of a lad aged just 33. He probably lived on Woodbine cigarettes and Pale Ale.

David Essex - Rock On - Musikladen

I was watching various old Musikladen shows (as you do) and although  I love this song, and it's admittedly difficult to drag your vision away from the beauty that was David Essex in his prime, look out for the bloke who appears in the bottom left hand corner who is smoking.  I don't know what drugs he is on, but whatever it is, I want some. He's wrecked.

tory corruption part 479

The waste of space that is Gavin Williamson to earn £625 an hour as an education advisor (from a Tory supporting firm that donates money to the Conservatives). You normally couldn't make this kind of crap up.  Corrupt bunch of bastards.

nothing to see in the times or mail

The great disappearing story, regarding more of Boris Johnson's corruption.  It was in The Times and Daily Mail, and now it's nowhere to be seen. Another small step towards fascism and dictatorship.

And it's not just Germany who can't believe what this country is becoming. Anyone who supports the current policies are complicit and should be hounded out of politics. What a bunch of fucking rotters.

People of Wakefield, remember, this is the sort of person who votes for The Conservative party.  One of the many Tory bastards who don't / didn't give a fuck about other people, unless they were rich or influential.

joyce mckinney - what a life

Now this is what you call living life to the full. I thought l'd done plenty of weird things, but Joyce McKinney puts me to shame. I bet you would definitely end up in trouble if you went on a night out with her, but my oh my, what a night it would be!.

paul mccartney buying the john lennon dead paper

Not a very cheerful picture, but very poignant. Paul McCartney buying a newspaper or two (I assume) after John Lennon's death. It may be thought of as intrusive, but l'm guessing Linda McCartney (or one of Paul's  family) took it, and it's certainly a historical image, reminding the viewers (as if we needed reminding) of the sad and needless loss of life.

I'm a big fan of Hein soup, but forgotten there were so many flavours until l saw this picture the other day.  Now of course, l've got a hankering for some of the flavours you no longer see.  Then again, l suppose if l'd bought more of them at the time, they would still be selling them, so it's partly my own fault.

pistol series acid flashback

While l was watching the Danny Boyle Sex Pistols series 'Pistol' on Disney, l thought l might have been experiencing an acid flashback. The main band The Pistols were supporting at St Martin's College (Bazooka Joe), looked uncannily familiar to this frazzled old mind, and so it turned out to be. They included members of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, who l have been to see a couple of times very recently, and would highly recommend checking out.

As for the series itself, once you get over the inaccuracies and cartoonish aspect, it's enjoyable enough, and far better than The Great Rock and Roll Swindle.
