enrico mazzanti and charles folkard's pinocchio illustrations

Cartoons / illustrations used to be so different many years ago. Check out this Pinocchio (written by Carlo Collodi) one from 1911 by Charles Folkard. 

 And here's the first illustration from 1883, by Enrico Mazzanti.  Certainly not the sort of images you'd find today.
