love - a poem

 

With a love so deep

Ive got to keep it hidden

Where it's always been

Because I know

Its never enough

I cant help it

My love's always been

The way it is

But then you walked into the room

And I saw two shadows

Dancing with joy

Because we both know how love can feel

If we allow it

So if tonight's the night

I will give it all I have

Because I know in my heart

I could stay with you for ever

And as for my love

If I need to, I'd display it

Because we both know what it's like

To feel the fire of the night

And tonight could be that night

But Im afraid

That the cold light of the morning

Will soon come around

And the love will be hidden again

Untraceable

Perhaps forever
