This is some excellent and informative writing by Katherine Rundell, More here.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
The news that never stops giving, even if it is so repetitive and depressing.
Nothing to see here. Just America interfering in other countries elections trying to get a right wing stooge of Putin's re-elected.
Very well played here by TV Boy. It would be even funnier if TV Boy was actually Banksy himself.

Let's face it, Vicky Shaw here is leaning heavily on NHS vibes and being a caring person, when reform actually want to destroy it for private insurance healthcare to enrich their shady backers. They are a bunch of two faced twats, and a pox on all their houses, especially as l've had some great times in and around Crewe, and the last thing Crew (or the country) need is Reform in power.

I can certainly relate to this kind of mischief as l used to send my brother spoof letters from the council, save eggs for a year and then replace his in his fridge etc each April fools day. We had to make our own entertainment back in the olden days.

I'm not a walker of coastal paths by any stretch of the imagination, but l am all in favour of this kind of initiative, and may even stroll along small parts of it in the future. Well played to everyone involved. More on the story from The BBC is here.
The winners of the London Camera Exchange photographs of the year have been announced, and some are below. More can be found at The Guardian's site here.
Labour's refugee plans make me ashamed to be a Labour voter, and it has nothing to do with Socialism and helping people in need. Another foolish (and cruel) policy to try and appease Reform voters while sending Labour voters to the Green party. I despair at the idiocy of it.
I'm a man brimming with curiosity regarding interesting things, including media such as films, books and music. However, there are only so many hours in the day to indulge, so when l see a post from Birmingham 81 about swopping cds with a mate, and the accompanying picture of said cds, it drives me up the wall, as l've not heard of most of the songs or artists, and l won't be able to sleep at night unless l investigate further, as they obviously rate them. Luckily (or unluckily) a The Spotify playlist was provided. Now l just have to find the time to listen to it. Curses all round.
Playlist is here.

If it's Wednesday and l'm off work, it's time for Wednesday club at one of the locals. This will be me in just over an hour arguing football, politics, music and random crap from old TV shows. I picked a fine time to give up drugs.

With all of the crap in the world, here's a heartwarming story of how Hannah recued / was chosen by Penny the Pigeon after the pigeon had been kicked about in a pub.

I finished work this afternoon and as l was tired, rather than watching a bit of tele and falling asleep, l met up at the pub first for a few drinks and 'entertainment' first. Once again however, it let me down.
The type of clientele l was hoping for....
Versus the reality...
I'd never seen or heard of the Rolling Stones album until a couple of days ago, but because of the rather splendid photograph of the band on the cover, l now need to find myself a copy. It's not easy being an idiot collector - you've got to put the hours in.
I know GB 'News' is a Reform station nowadays (even worse than when it started) but what the fuck are Ofcom doing about it? I'll tell you what they are doing - fuck all. This crap shouldn't be broadcast and all the station does is stoke up hate and distrust towards foreigners. 'illegals' and (at the moment) Muslims, who in their eyes are trying to take over the country and will kill all of us whites (The great displacement theory). No wonder l'm always arguing with ill informed dickheads in the pub when they are fed this nonsense 24 hours a day. Close it down.

The second post concerning Richard Tice and his tax avoidance. Can you tell l'm pissed off yet? This is how the newspapers should be reporting it, and also how they would if it was a Labour MP (like Angela Rayner).

The dictatorship of the USA has now reached the closing down of news outlets that don't peddle their lies stage. Fascism part 9846776.
It's good to know that as we head into a possible fuel crisis (or possibly World War 3) The Daily Mail have still got their priorities right, banging on again about wind farms, only this time conflating them with our anti missile defense systems. I remember happy days when this sort of headline would have been a spoof on 'The Day Today' or suchlike. What a joke and embarrassment the paper is. Imagine if we had invested heavily years ago and now had complete renewable energy? Heaven forbid the thought.
