more nigel farage twatiness
Imagine the fuss if this was a Labour MP. Angela Raynor for example. Farage is a twat and the right wing press enable him because they and their rich friends would benefit if Reform gained power.

nothing's changed since 1973
This is from 1973, but could have been produced yesterday and still be as relevant (sadly).

the next tidying up job - books
Now that my records (not the cds though) are finally about sorted, it's time for the books to suffer the same fate, starting with this bookcase, which is two deep with them. It's still a better option than trying to sort out my cds in the spare room, which is (as the saying goes) still being kicked into the long grass.

sounds charts - october 1977
From Sounds music paper 15th October 1977. Punk had well and truly arrived and Elvis Presley (and Marc Bolan) had recently died. The alternative chart looks pretty good, there's still a lot of dross in the normal charts, and the playlists have some 'interesting' choices.

kaist spray on powder to stop bleeding
More good news! Just imagine how many lived this may save. Also it will come in very handy when Trump starts World War 3.
More on the story here.

the reform / conservative crossover
It's not just 67% at the moment, it's some of the worst Conservative MPs from their previous corrupt and self serving tenure, and that really is scraping a barrel of crap.

donald trump gets his peace prize
Just when you start to think world events can't go any lower. 'For the work l have done' FFS. The thing is, this will achieve nothing. Trump is obviously happy now, but when his whims change, all the previous grovelling and gifts will mean nothing, and he'll just do whatever benefits him.

some good news at last - the hunger strike ends
It's about time the news gave us something to be happy about, and this certainly qualifies. Now release them.

an most excellent day at Old Trafford
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out where l've been today. Only the home of Manchester United, which has changed a hell of a lot since l last attended a game there. The main takeaway? The dressing rooms are a lot smaller than you'd imagine. It was for work, so l also got paid and fed. What a result.

a 'coordinated trained terrorist' (while still alive)
Remember - this USA government are defending ICE agents following their shoot and kill at point blank range 'People driving away from you while saying friendly things?' actions, and then trying to convince you your eyes, ears and brain are lying to you after seeing the videos of the shooting, and the killer walking away unharmed.

keith richards artwork
This must be worth a fortune now (I very much doubt). A drawing l did when l was a teenager of Keith Richards l have just found while sorting out some records. The thing is, l'll stash it away again somewhere for 'safekeeping' and probably never see it again as l will have forgotten where l put it in a couple of weeks (hours). I'm also aware l can't draw, which is annoying as my wife was so good at it.

I've only had it sitting in the living room for the last few months but the new turntable (and speakers) are now up and running. And jolly fine they sound as well.
