I'm a fan of The Avengers early years, but later on........

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
The New York Times are so wrong in their reading of this, as anyone with a sound mind who watched Jimmy Kimmel's returning monologue will know.
Filming has been underway with original members of Channel 4's Brookside appearing alongside Hollyoaks in some upcoming episodes. All well and good, as l used to love Brookside many years ago, but l'm a bit perturbed that the once cool bad boy Barry Grant (on the left) has now turned into my uncle Ray. Must be a genetic Liverpool thing, but praise the lord l've been spared.

Another distraction from Trump, but you have to ask yourself what he is gaining from this. Shares in another product? Blaming women for their Autistic children? Either way, it's dangerous advice, and release the Epstein files!
Really? Has it come to this? I wouldn't give the conspiracy theorists the time of day, and let's face it, whatever evidence or results get released can easily just be rebuked as fake, so you can never win these type of arguments.

As some insane people (especially in America) think The Rapture is going to happen today, l once again despair at where the world is heading, as it's obviously far out religious nonsense. Then l spotted these cats on the beach holding a prayer meeting and preparing for it, so naturally l've changed my mind and bought myself a cross to try and sneak in undetected at the last minute. Heaven here l come!*
* Not the gay nightclub in Liverpool, although l have had some great times in there.
A splendid evening was had on Sunday night in Leeds, watching the rather marvelous Whitney K. I never got to see The Velvet Underground in their prime, but this was as close as l'll ever get (sound wise). I also bought the new album from them afterwards and got them to draw cartoons on it as well as signing it. I know l'm a very sad individual, but a fine very result. Catch them if you can.
I've been (very slowly) sorting out books, DVDs and CDs, with the result my kitchen has been getting fuller every day with boxes which are to go to the garage. Some will go back on shelves but l'm moving bookcases as well so it's a long job, especially as l'm so lazy and will put it off indefinitely. Fire risk? Pah!
Back from the pub to find out this great news. Of course this has nothing to do with the worldwide backlash and cancelling of subscriptions to Disney. I hope he now uses his platform and power to take the piss out of Disney. I'd be 100% behind him, and he'll be a beacon of light in this very dark world. Fingers and toes crossed.

I've put this on here before, but John Peel's shows to mark his 40th Birthday highlighted some of the best music l'd ever heard at that time, with some great tunes l'd never heard before (Mick Hart's 'Almost Liverpool 8' for one). Luckily l recorded it and later on put it onto a CD, but it's also now on Spotify. A great eclectic selection as you'd expect. The listing of the songs are not in the order they were played.

Come on!! A cross on wheels? That's just cheating! Also, if you're going to pray at the bottom of it for a photo opportunity to whip up your MAGA 'Christian' base, shouldn't someone have been nailed to it first, demonstrating your commitment to the faith? Pathetic!
I remember the punk wars when this poster came out, thanking the artists who had played 'Rock against Racism' gigs (1977). Stand up the the right wing bigots, sadly more true today than it was back then.

And by Israel, it's the genocidal starve and bomb the civilians while 'attacking Hamas' Netanyahu and his targeting children IDF soldiers, not the ordinary people of Israel.
I was watching something on TV the other night and it showed this house in London. I can't remember whereabouts in London, and l do realise a lot of similar houses would have been built around the same period, but it looks uncannily like my grandparents house in Bootle where l was bought up (when not abroad). The end of the street, doors together and opposite the corner looks exactly the same. To say it bought back memories is an understatement. Happy days indeed.
Toodle pipErrr........Probably was at the top and then decided to go further to the right. Knobhead.

Never leave your house without this handy guide of how to keep your cool and pull of the soul brother handshake. Thank me later.
Also, Soul Brother Handshake would be a great name for a band.
I remember borrowing and reading David Felton's 'Mindfuckers' many years ago and fancied purchasing a copy for myself and re-reading it, as l now only have a vague memory of it's contents. However, looking at the current prices, l'm suddenly not that bothered. It can wait.

I've been to many places in America over the years, but if l was to go back in the near future, l now have a handy map of the only parts of the country to visit - the states that will vaccinate it's citizens. Mind you l'd probably get refused entry nowadays or thrown into some hellhole prison by border control.

And ended up like this. Good job l'm indestructible.
