I'm sorry, but if you attack someone with a wrench (which are very heavy) from behind like this, you should be getting charged with attempted murder, and l'm talking as a person who (as an adult) once went after someone else to cause them physical harm with a hockey stick (long story).  Just because the victim survived does not make it less of an offence, the same as kicking or stamping on someone's head when they are on the ground or unconscious. Judges generally do not give long sentences for violent offences because they live in a world which very rarely encounters violence, unlike the poor. He'd have probably  got a longer sentence if he he stolen statues from a country estate.

A classic dictatorship move, but rather sadly, l think a lot more of this kind of boundary pushing law breaking will be happening in the near future. The view from the front of our hotel at the weekend (Newcastle's Hampton by Hilton) was pretty good.

However, not so good at the back when coming down for breakfast. Would still recommend it though and would stay there again.

I'm full of useless information. As Michael Caine would say, not a lot of people know that a recent Pope exploded. Due to not being properly fixed (a technical term - look it up) by the papal physician Riccardo Galeazzi-Lisi, Pope Pius XII, who died in 1958, had a four day viewing ceremony, meanwhile, his internal gases built up until his chest exploded, and his nose and fingers fell off, while also of course, creating an ungodly stench, which caused his guards to faint.

The same kind of fate happened in 1087 to William the Conqueror as he was lowered into his grave. He exploded, and the flying body parts and stench caused the crowds to scatter.

What a way to go.
