I have no idea about the sports side of this and had never heard of Steve Kerr before, but well played sir, and by bullies, he of course means Donald Trump. I'm even tempted to buy a Harvard top myself as Trump is so annoyed with them (see his lunatic rantings below).
Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

manchester united v lyon and harry maguire's weight
With my usual pessimism regarding the result of tonight game against Lyon, l'm still looking forward to it. Onana's been the main focus of the build up news, but l'm more worried that Harry Maguire has put on a bit of weight.

simon evans - have we met at the georgian theatre, richmond
My mate got me a ticket for this and l was up for going to it until yesterday morning, as l've had (another) stinking cold all week and although it has now pretty much gone, l still have a tickly annoying cough, and the last place l wanted to go was a quiet comedy show in a small theatre, so bailed out this afternoon. I compensated by joining other mates for our Wednesday meet up, and tried to anesthetise the cough instead.

trump blames zelensky for starting the war
Not even l think Donald Trump is that thick, he's just repeating Russian propaganda. One day it will be revealed why he is on Russia's side, but let's face it, it's going to be wadloads of money or a sex scandal. What a piss poor twat, sadly enabled by others in his party.

the trump tariff wheel of fortune
This is how Trump might as well have come up with the tariffs. What a dangerous knobhead of a man he is.

the pop up record fair in richmond town hall
Although l still spent some money at this, and it was a glorious summer's day, l was also rescued from my record buying madness as the dealer l went to see had forgotten to bring his bootlegs l was after, so I saved some money for a change. He did however, invite me to his home to go through them, which l imagine is going to punish my wallet somewhat in the near future. I'm a very, very, sad man (but it keeps me happy and out of mischief).

russel mael making me envious
Although it's no fun getting old, l'm also envious of older people who have had the opportunity to attend classic gigs back in the good old days. After watching the 'Word in your Ear' youtube interview with Russel Mael from Sparks, my envy meter has gone off the scale. He's seen The Beatles (twice), Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd etc, all during their earliest tours of The States, and he still looks great. I am currently green. Very green.

john shuttleworth at northallerton forum
Much better than l thought it would be, and an excellent night was had by all - despite the fact that l was driving. Technically, l'm also going to put this down as a claim that l've seen Jilted John.

The Maga Hats - made in China. You couldn't make this sort of crap up. I'd laugh if it wasn't so tragic.

RIP Clem Burke
If you wanted to be a cool rock star during the punk wars, you had to up your game by some margin to even attempt to be cooler than Clem Burke, the Drummer from Blondie, who has rather sadly just passed away.

the nirvana concert l wish l had gone to
This was Nirvana's first ever UK show, at The Riverside (old version) in Newcastle, and l was going to go to it, but it was really miserable weather and l couldn't be bothered. How l now regret that decision!

born to boogie - the boogie film of the century!
I was a massive T. Rex fan and went to see this at my local picture house when it came out, but to say l was disappointed is a massive understatement. Parts of it were excellent (such as the concert footage) but there was way too much padding and buggering about. I've still bought the DVD, and as that has a lot more live on stage action, it's a much more satisfying experience.

The sun is big - very big. Luckily it is quite a long way away (93 million miles give or take one or two).
Toodle pipone day you're cool.....
Life is cruel. One day you're cool, then, without warning, you turn into a mad old granny.
the economist's new front cover
I don't read The Economist, but this is an excellent front cover after the idiotic Donald Trump tariffs. Nearly makes me want to go out and buy it.

This is a fake Time Magazine cover naming Donald Trump as the worst president ever. However, it should be a real one.

good news at last - marine le pen found guilty
Some excellent result from France, as Marine Le Pen is found guilty of embezzlement, although of course our right wing press see things differently. They wouldn't hold the same views if this was a Labour politician.
And of course she had previously called for politicians to be ineligible for life for the same kind of crime. A dangerous hate mongering right wing git.

reading rock festival 1977 line up
l may have been very young whippersnapper at the time, but l was one of the attendees at Reading Festival in 1977, hitch hiking down, putting up with the mud everywhere, not washing for three days (no change there) and seeing the occasional excellent act. Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Lone Star, Eddie and The Hot Rods and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band in particular. The only bonus of being an old git is being old enough at the time to go to festivals like this. All for £7.95!!
