Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia
I think my mates might be trying to take the piss. Two pressies in the pub, both of soap (plus other stuff).
Just finished this Mustafa Suleyman book which arrived yesterday and it is both amazing and scary. It's looking forward to the advancements with AI and robotics, amongst other topics such as DNA modification, while also setting out some plans and ideas for restraint and regulation. This will affect everyone in the next 5 - 10 years, not just in the loss of jobs, and it is mind boggling. Highly recommended.
This big (now dead) bastard was waiting for me in the kitchen this morning. First one of the year, and l'm certainly not looking forward to any more, although l'm sure they are coming (or already hiding somewhere).
Toodle pipI've got some of these bastard Jackdaws nesting just outside my bedroom window. Not good in summer time, as they are noisy little gits as soon as the sun starts rising. However, l also feed them, so it's partly my fault.
Toodle pipWhen will this corruption ever end? It's like they are trying to milk every single penny out of the public purse and distribute it to family, friends and donors. A lot of them would be in jail if they weren't protected by their position, wealth and backing form colleagues. It rotten to the core, and it stinks.

Despite the fact Jordan Henderson is ex Liverpool, l feel a bit bad picking on him for being two faced and taking the Saudi Arabian money, after his stance supporting the LGBTQ community, because at least he did support them at a time when hardly anyone else did. However, this is clearly about the money, as he would have had lots of other options to continue playing, at many other clubs and countries, and let's face it, after playing for Liverpool for years on footballers wages, he won't exactly be on the breadline. Plus, l agree with this statement from Christian Hewgill.
Toodle pipOur current Education Secretary (the sixth in two years). She is also quoted as knowing about the problem and saying 'Sit on it for two years and it will be someone else's problem'. Probably meaning Labour. Rishi Sunak blocked the cash, (after the Conservatives had already stopped Labours school rebuilding during the coalition) but at least he gave a bottle of wine to a school fundraiser

It's about time our wind measuring systems got with the times. Let's hear it for wheelie bin wind measuring! You can't hold back progress. Welcome to our new and improved future!
Toodle pipI think if Mr Parrot kicks the bucket, l might have to get myself a large owl. This one looks ideal.
Schools currently at risk of falling apart. What a time to be alive. Of course this will have nothing to do with the fact when the Tory / Liberal coalition came to power, they cancelled the school building programme. People have short memories.

The BBC even having to ask this question. Obviously the Royals have plenty of lickspittles working for the press, but Prince Andrew can buggger off (and that's being polite). A poorer person would have been locked up by now.
Toodle pipSo l guess Tamsin didn't think the common council house plebs could have had a joyful family home of their own? Grrrrrrr....Don't get me started.
Toodle pipFor me, Paul Simon is up there with the greatest of all time, and l love his stuff, both solo and with Simon and Garfunkel. Here's some outtakes from the Bookends photo shoot by Richard Avedon.
Me in Kenya as a little kid. Rather sadly l don't remember any of my time there.
