It was a bit busy in the bar yesterday for the Newcastle United v Manchester United Cup Final.
And it was a great result!!

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

Love this latest work from stuffbymark. One of my favourite songs (By The Buzzcocks), done as a kitchen sink drama advert.
Bought some dodgy Ecstasy last night. I must be getting used to them, as l took the whole packet and they had no affect, although they did taste nice for a change.
Toodle pipI was persuaded to work for this company for some cash in hand many moons ago. I did one day and thought 'Never again'. Way too much like hard work.

Dr Jive. This is just after l was politely asked to leave, which was fair enough, as l was the singer (and couldn't really sing).
From the top..Snoddy, Lammy, Moz and Rocker.
Toodle pipMore joy from the sunlit uplands
And for anyone still playing Yellowhammer (the governments own predictions of what may happen after Brexit) bingo, l think the card is about complete.
Toodle pipThanks to the recent winds, part of my garden fence has come down, and the whole thing may be unsound and need to be replaced.
Bugger.
I blame God and the Tories.
Toodle pipI just saw this ticket the other day so thought l'd post. On this day in 1981, l was at Newcastle Mayfair, watching the magnificent Slade, who were having a second wind as a band after going down a storm at Reading Festival the year before (which l was also at). It was packed, sweaty, loud and superb.

This is what the Conservative party are trying to get us out of. I don't know about you, but l believe these are pretty fundamental rights, especially for the poor and downtrodden in our society, which is of course, why they want to get rid of them, so the rich business owners and government can exploit people further, and take away their rights to defend themselves in court.
Bastards!!
Never vote Tory.
Toodle pipLove this picture of runners shadows in Kenya. If l knew how to upload the video from twitter, l'd do so, but that's beyond my capabilities.
I stayed at my friends house at the weekend and was in his sons bedroom (he obviously slept elsewhere). I think it's safe to say he is into gaming, something that has never interested me.
Another part of my childhood gone. Takes me back to Saturday afternoons waiting for the football results, which, as a Manchester United fan, were not always good in those days.
At last!! Some good news for the primary school children of that London, thanks to Sadiq Khan. Now let's get it implemented across the country.

I'm looking forward to tonights game between Manchester United and Barcelona, although l'm also a pessimist regarding what the result will be. Fingers crossed while typing.
The Spanish sports paper agrees with me 'It's going to be a magical night'.
Toodle pipIt may have been 400 hour working weeks, 2 year olds chimney sweeping, gruel for every meal and living in an outside toilet (if you were lucky), but there were some advantages to living in the old days.
This is quite old, and l may have put it up already, but I don't think they they thought this page through, and if they were aware, it's a sick sense of humour
With Manhattan's non stop gentrification surging ahead, The Mars Bar, like CBGB's and other iconic bars, is no more. Obviously it was a very seedy place, but l loved it, and also the 5 star review below that summed it up. I remember my friends nose bleeding while sitting outside after sniffing what he thought was cocaine (and was obviously something crap), and great loud music among the squalor. Happy days.
Here's the review that sums it up

Sam Smith modelling Billy Connelly's incontinence pants (look it up) at The Brits. I think it looks ridiculous, but isn't the point of pop stars to shock, surprise, and get tongues wagging? If so, well played.
Just when you think The Daily Mail can't stoop any lower, they speculate a murdered woman may have been killed (with her child) because she was basically doing well at work. Bunch of Bastards. Don't buy it (or The Sun).
Blame the right wing Conservative government sprouting non stop racist, inhumane and derogatory language towards the asylum seekers, not scousers.
I don't know how l got these marks on Wednesday night (yesterday), but it sure was a good night out. The bottom star shaped red one feels like a sore bruise, and the patterned mark in the top picture looks like a burn. Hope l wasn't drugged and taken to a S and M parlour, but who knows with the lads l was with.
