This picture makes it look as though there's a pile of books in the corner waiting to be read. Trust me, that's just a smidgeon of the amount of books l have piled up waiting patiently for their turn. I need help (or a bigger house).

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

Watching (as is my wont) a chat between Alan Moore (knows the score) and Ian Sinclair at Alan Moore's house, l saw a vision of how my future self and surroundings is going to be.
I'm probably more than half way there already.
I've just assembles two more bookcases which are full of CDs and covered up behind the settee.
Knobheads disagreeing with knobheads, but if it splits the far right vote, l'm all for it.
This made me laugh as it's just the sort of prank l would do to my long suffering wife (before she saw sense and buggered off).

The rest of the (very old) 60 Minutes reporters should also leave and they should take the show to another platform and call it 'One Hour' (and then do a show on CBS). Also, Nick Bilton saying he has 'devoted his life to investigative journalism'? Give me a break. See some of his Wikipedia page (below).
I've finally finished reading Pope Leo,s recent 'Magnifica Humanites' and I agree pretty much with most of it, even though l am a staunch atheist, as some of the points l have been arguing myself for years, as in how to support possibly 50% of the population who may lose their jobs. He writes about (amongst other things) humanity, what it means to be human, how to help the less fortunate in society as AI completely changes the world, and how it shouldn't be up to the tech bros to decide mankind's future. It's great that his message will reach billions of people, but as to what effect it will have in the long run, l'm not so sure. Also, l love the coded messages to Trump and his cronies. He's the kind os Socialist leader l am after (but minus the faith).
It can read or downloaded from here.

As sure as night follows day, the violent idiot racists respond to Farage and Robinson, despite the bereaved families wishes. Nothing of course to do with Farage wanting people to show 'pure cold rage' earlier in the day. Twats, all of them, but Farage knows what he is doing and monetising hatred and division, so he's much more to blame.
This. All of this. See my recent Farage post for my views. He's a racist shit stirring opportunist twat, ignoring a bereaved families wishes so he can spread hatred.
A reminder to the press. Not only is this a blatant misuse of power and corrupt as fuck from the child rapist president as America's standards sink lower and lower, but words and headlines matter. E Jean Carroll is not 'Trump's accuser'. He was found guilty of raping her in a court of law. He raped her, amongst many others. Here's a reminder.
And all concerned in the cover up should be prosecuted in the future, even if it means overturning pardons from Trump.
What l'm hearing here is you're saying Donald Trump can't sort out a deal with Iran to open the Straight of Hormuz after all? What a fucking surprise, and if only we already had a deal in place that was workable. Such as Obama's. Trump and his team will no doubt keep coming up with short fire solutions and keep pushing the problem back, while in the meantime presenting Iran with billions of dollars, going to them courtesy of the American tax payers due to Trump's arrogance and stupidity. This presidency is run by a bunch of fuckwits, but never forget, they're also dangerous ones.
As usual, when there's a chance to stir up hatred and division by being a racist fuckwit, Nigel Farage appears as if by magic with another soundbite. Yes it was horrific, and the assailant should have been jailed for longer as far as l am concerned, but if it had been the other way round and it was the white person committing the crime, there wouldn't be a peep out of Farage and his far right cronies, rather like the silence that deafens us all when white people are jailed for being part of grooming gangs (see below). The hypocrisy is staggering but also expected. These 'concerned citizens' are only bothered about 'foreigners' and by that, l mean ones who aren't white. Farage isn't concerned about any of this apart from his right wing perspective and appealing to his supporters who think he is a 'man of the people' who has their best interests at heart. They are in for a nasty shock if he gains power, as the ill educated lower classes will be the fist to suffer as he makes his rich backers wealthier by deregulating and privatising. The ECHR is our friend, and is in place to protect the vulnerable against the likes of Farage, so it's no wonder he wantsto do away with it. A twat of the highest order.
Considering all the Islamophobia and fear of Muslims l see creeping into the political discourse to stir up hatred, Mayor Mamdani (a Shia Muslim) in New York is doing a magnificent job, emitting love and humanity while trying to help the less fortunate (of all races). Well played Sir, and if only more politicians were like him. Hope not Hate.

My mate's brother has just bid and bought this. He's lucky l didn't know about it beforehand as it looks pretty damn good on his wall.
