today's trump, vance and zelenski shitshow
Just when you start to think Trump and Vance can't degrade themselves and America any lower. That was the most pig ignorant display of (so called) politics and bullying from them that l have ever had the misfortune to witness, and for all the idiots that haven't believed Trump is on Russia's side, then a spectacle such as this confirms it, and things must be really fucked up if l'm agreeing with Robert Jenrick (below). Make no mistake, this was a world changing event, and certainly not for the good. It wouldn't have happened if Harris had been elected, and once again puts to bed the 'all politicians are the same' argument. Where the fuck are the voices from past presidents, both Republican and Democrat denouncing all this crap and defending America's principles and place in the world? No wonder l drink (and l still blame God).

welcome to new york - the rolling stones - still want it
This listing on ebay was the most l have ever bid for a single album. I bid so that the combined price including postage and VAT would be a bit over £100, as l have been after the lp for a while (despite already having it on CD). Bidding ended in the early hours of this morning, and reader, it wasn't enough, as this would have come to about £160 with all costs. Damn!!

hunters (the wine bar), my local pub is up for sale
If only l had a spare £200,000 lying around. I'd buy this and ban pretty much everyone, using it as an exclusive club for myself and my very few mates. With a very loud jukebox.

the usa sides with russia over ukraine
In news that will surprise no-one at the moment, the USA refuses to join other nations in a United Nations resolution condemning Russia for the attack on Ukraine, joining Sudan, Israel, Belarus, North Korea and Hungary. What fine company they are keeping.

I knew AI was going to change everything, but getting all of the newspapers to unite in protest was not on my radar.

if an asteroid was to hit us
I'd happily meet the asteroid head on, but without looking at it. A very quick painless death - what a way to go. Kim Aaron is the chief engineer for architecture and formulation at NASA's Jet Propulsion lab.

The Times won't admit it, but let's face it, they mean the far right. The would be Nazi party. Don't normalise them.

possible new managers for the manchester united job
Normally football is a (mostly) pleasant escape from the trials and tribulations of the real world, but it's certainly not at the moment. I don't think Manchester United will sack Ruben Amorim in the immediate future, but things are certainly bleak at the moment, but as the song goes - things can (hopefully) only get better.
