It's very very rare that l ever have a good word to say about The Daily Mail, but come on - the headline writer knew what they were doing here.

Booze, news and views from a drunken opinionated fool who can't spell very well, may well repeat himself, and can't blame it on dislexia

I'm not holding my breath for the protests and outrage around 'protecting kids' from Nigel Farage and the far right in relation to this grooming gang. I imagine things would be a lot different if they were black or Islamic.

Led by Donkeys lead by example once again, projecting the Elon Musk Nazi salute onto the Tesla Factory in Berlin. Well played, and drinks all round.

A privately educated right wing financial immigrant (and partner of Reforms Richard Tice) not integrating into the host countries culture pontificating on other immigrants from her home in Dubai. These people shouldn't be given screen time.

For some strange reason there's not much reporting in the press about the massive settlement and apology to Prince Harry and his mother.
This made me laugh, and it's good to know United aren't the only team in Manchester playing crap.

A great response to Nigel Farage here, as he once again tries to weaponize the tragedy in Southport for his own political gain

Laika, the stray Russian dog that went on a one way mission to space on November 3rd 1957 - the first living creature from Earth to do so. What a sad couple of photos (and yes, Laika died shortly after take-off from Hyperthermia.
I guess this is what you have to do when you've got an old car. I knew it needed some work (including welding) and had expected anything up to £1,000 so in my tiny mind, I've saved £300 and am happy to be reunited with my car. Result!

Of course Elon Musk knows the difference between a Nazi salute and giving out love. The below two pictures are actually from videos playing at the same time, but you get the meaning from the photos in isolation. He openly supports right wing fascist parties and tries to overthrow democracy. A very dangerous man with lots of hang-ups and issues.
Rolling Stone magazine echo what l have said in the past and still believe. Donald Trump should currently be in jail, and the USA legal system, big money lawyers, sycophantic GOP members and tech CEO's are mostly responsible, although the Democratic party should have got their act together and defeated him.
Until l saw this picture the other day l hadn't given it a thought for years and had pretty much forgotten about it, but back in the distant past it used to be very, very popular. Stephen Pearson's 'Wings of Love'. A mixture of the erotic, romantic and religious, and no, l did not own a copy.
Very poor reporting here in this 1977 article by someone who does not understand music. It's not illegal to own unauthorised music, and they can't even spell Led Zeppelin correctly. This sort of stuff annoys me much more than it should.
Despite the fact that l love Marc Bolan and most things T. Rex related, Dandy in the Underworld was nowhere near the top album in 1977, and Bolan should not have achieved these results. Obviously his recent death triggered happy memories of him and his music, and reminded people (myself included) how pivotal he had been in their lives, thus explaining the sympathy votes.
I think l may be getting the start of a cold. Any excuse to break out the cough syrup from the good old days.
Toodle pipSo Jack Smith states that Donald Trump would have been found guilty regarding the insurrection charges around the storming of The White House to overturn his electoral defeat, but can't be prosecuted because he is the USA President (to be). This case should have been enacted years ago, and is a failure of the American legal system. As Trump will have his many mealy mouthed cowardly supporters in the senate and congress, in the judicial system, and is being backed by rich social media lickspittles so he will have most of the media and internet on his side, what is going to stop him staying in power, and ignoring future election results that don't go his way (if they take place at all). It's a bad time for democracy and the rise of the far right round the world. No wonder l drink.
toodle pipIf you ignore the rise of the far right AFD party in Germany, the Germans actually have a lot of common sense, and l love the place. Despite Klopp being an ex Liverpool manager, l respect him as well.
After l got home last night l continued the celebrations from the football by staying up listening to The Velvet Underground on repeat till 08:00, while drinking a mixture of white wine and baileys. I also ended up knocking my wine glass over, cutting my hand picking up the pieces, and discovering l'd missed a bit of blood on the floor cleaning up. Who says rock and roll behaviour is dead?
One hell of a walk home from the pub tonight after the Manchester United win against Arsenal, but well worth it. Roll on summer - winter is way overrated.
Toodle pipAs l needed a new calendar, l went on Amazon and bought what l thought was a really cheap Deadpool one. When it arrived, l realised l hadn't been paying attention, as it was from 2023. Bugger! Say no to ordering stuff while drinking red wine.
Damn! This started off so well, and is much better in the video, but l don't know how to transfer that to the blog (and can't be bothered learning how to). The trouble is, despite knowing how it ends, the first picture still looks so real.
